For the Love of Horses - Art Classes - Second Tuesday of the month from 4p - 6p. All art classes emphasize drawing skills and deepen your understanding of horse conformation, movement, and individuality as we work with live models. Each month we will work with a different artistic media and technique as you create your horse art masterpieces. November 8th, then we will take a break until March 13th. Class registration is required by contacting Tina Villarreal at tina@ellishec.com or 815.475.4035. Fee required - $20.00 per class.
Horse Day Camps June to August—Our children’s day camps offer unique opportunities for children as young as 4 to experience horses and nature. pony rides, grooming and leading horses and many more activities teach the children the value of nature, care for animals and how to have fun with horses!
Reindeer Run December 18th, 9:00am Registration at 7:00am—this unique winter 5k offers spectacular views of country winter landscapes. Our staff groom these trails for running, but after this 5k these trails are available for cross country skiers all winter. Run or walk through pastures, hayfields, forest and along the pristine AuxSable Creek . Enjoy entertainment after the race or sit around the bonfire with hot chocolate and enjoy the outdoors.
Winter FestivalDecember 23, 2011; 4pm-7pm —Come take Pictures with Polly, the Christmas pony, take tractor hay rides in the snow, and pony rides in our indoor ring. We supply the bonfire pit and activities, you enjoy the fun!
