Ellis House and Equestrian Center

The Ellis House is a beautiful 5 room estate nestled in Minooka, Illinois. The Forest Preserve District of Kendall County purchased the Ellis House and its 45 acres in 2008. The Ellis House and Equestrian Center is set with panoramic views in a country locale where guests may watch horses graze or relax in our expert service, which makes it a beautiful backdrop for your next gathering.

The mission of the Ellis House is to provide excellent service within nature's setting where clients walk away with a memorable experience that exceeds their expectations.

The Ellis House can accommodate up to 45 guests for a sit down reception or dinner and up to 75 for a cocktail reception. We also have an Equestrian Classroom that can be used for meeting/classroom space as well with full audio/visual set up.

Equipment

For your use the Ellis House has (8) 48” round dinner tables, 52 banquet chairs, (8) 6-foot rectangular meeting tables, (2) 4-foot rectangular tables as well as a power-point projector and a podium. Additional tables, boutique linen, audiovisual equipment and/or tent rental are available from the following local rental companies:
