For the Love of Horses Art Class
Learn to draw horses and so much more. Each month we will improve drawing skills and deepen your understanding of horse conformation, movement, and individuality as we work with live models from Ellis.
Ellis 5k Events

Riding Lessons
We offer balanced seat riding lessons that easily translate into any style of riding, including western, hunter jumper, dressage, and pleasure riding.
Volunteer
We offer volunteer opportunities for ages 14 and older. Volunteers get hands on training and experience caring for, grooming, basic first aid and medical care for horses.
Open Arena
The Kendall County Forest Preserve recognizes that there are many local horse owners who do not have access to their own indoor arena, yet still would like to ride in poor weather. The public may purchase a yearly or daily tag to ride their horse in the indoor arena.
Ellis Day Camps
Ellis House & Equestrian center has partnered with the naturalists at the Kendall County Forest Preserve to provide you with an educational and fun day camp experience for children aged 6 to 14.
Birthday Parties
We host Birthday parties for children. Activities include 2 hours of educational activities with the horses, fun crafts and pony rides.
Group Tours
We offer a one hour tour by appointment only.
Internships
Ellis Equestrian Center has an internship program that strives to create solid educators and managers to provide professional service to people in and interested in the horse industry as recreation and self-improvement.
Equestrian Facility Rentals
Equestrian facility rentals are available between lesson sessions when Ellis is not holding lessons. The facility may be rented for clinics, Instructor certifications and local horse associations.
