Our group tours serve any small group of children or adults that are
interested in learning about horses and nature! This is a list of some groups
that have participated in our tours:
- Scout groups
- Home school groups
- Park district groups
- Special needs groups
- Indian Princess groups
- Church groups
We offer a one hour tour by appointment only. We can accommodate groups of children ages 3 to adults. We create age appropriate, hands on experiences for groups of all ages. We have the younger children touch and handle the different types of feeds for horses, their grooming equipment, saddles, bits, and shoes. They also have an opportunity to sit in a clean stall and experience the horse's "bedroom" we talk about what horses need to survive, how horses behave, and how to behave around horses to be safe. We also set aside time for the children to pet and brush a pony. For older children we talk more about nutritional needs of horses, and end with a grooming experience or leading experience where they interact directly with the horse. Special waivers, group size, age limits and extra fees apply for pony rides after the group tour. We ask that children 3-6 have one chaperone for every three children to be sure no one wanders or is injured. You may bring a snack and eat at the picnic tables on the property after or before your tour. Call for pricing and details.
