Ellis House and Equestrian Center is located at Bakers Woods Forest Preserve near Minooka, Illinois. Ellis, operated by the Kendall County Forest Preserve, provides a safe and welcoming environment to learn and experience first hand the lifestyle of a working farm and holistic horse care.
It was established to fill the beginner riding program needs in the Kendall, North Grundy and Western Will county areas. We teach beginners balanced seat riding and hope to provide students to the move toward the more advanced lesson barns in the area when students finish our programs.
Faced with an even tighter budget for 2017, all donations, great or small, will help us to keep our operational costs down so that we can continue to offer this facility and its equestrian educational programs to the residents of Kendall County and surrounding areas. Your donation is greatly appreciated by all visitors and program participants. All donations are tax deductible.
Ellis Wish List for donations.

Open Arena
The Ellis Equestrian Center will provide the horse owning public open arena times at least twice a week. The public may purchase a daily tag to ride their horse in the indoor arena.
